The Pull of Print

An exhibition of original prints by artist-members of the Printmakers Council in which I participated. 'The Pull of Print' ran from 30th April to 21st May 2022 and was hosted by Linden Hall Studio in Deal on the Kent coast. In 1965, a group of artists, including Julian Trevelyan, Michael Rothenstein, Anthony Gross, Stanley Jones, and Agatha Sorel, saw the need for a society that would promote new developments within printmaking and formed the Printmakers Council. Since then it has consistently promoted the place of printmaking in the visual arts. My work, 'Extracts IV' (2021), shown below, was selected by the Printmakers Council for this exhibition. It is a monoprint from an etched aluminium plate with collagraph, printed on 300gsm Somerset Satin White, measuring 75cm x 68cm.
